Welcome to September's newsletter. Here you will find information about shooting in Peru as well as some of our most recent work.

The Arequipa region has a long history with trains. The first train route was built to access the coast of Mollendo, followed by the route to Puno, and finally Cusco. Originally the trains used steam engines, and they needed to restock firewood throughout its journey. Because of this reason many stations (tambos) were built along its way, some were next to small forests. After the trains switched to diesel engines many of these stations were abandoned, and they kept the same look as the old steam engine days.

Our last production in this location was the TV Globo soap opera "Amor a Vida" directed by Mauro Mendonça Filho featuring Paolla Oliveira and Juliano Cazarré.

Trafigura - Catalina Huanca Mine

Trafigura has the fifth largest lead and zinc mine in Peru, called Catalina Huanca. This mine is high in the Ayacucho region of the Andes, above 3500m. Logistics require many hours of driving from the nearest airport on the capital of Ayacucho. Once there shooting included underground locations as well as exterior locations in the local communities. Drone shots were used as well to show the magnitude of the operation.
